Long time, no post!

Clean! AHHH! That's all I smell around me today! If you had told me that I would spend 1 FULL hour cleaning my OWN bedroom today, I would have told you that you were crazy! My Mom and Dad just got back from Georgia and brought my Aunt with them for a visit. She's coming tomorrow to see our house and WOW, have I let it go! I mean REALLY go! I am home all afternoon alone and had grand visions of painting and cleaning and getting things in order...heck, even scrapping. Know what I've done? Nadda! Nilch! I've shopped and sat back with some Ben and Jerry's and watched my soaps. Really, that's all I've done. I even invested in those blue toilet bowl cleaners that clean everytime you flush, and I haven't touched the toilet brush in about 3 weeks. That's how lazy I have become. And now with company coming tomorrow, someone who has never seen my house, I realized just how much work was needed. I did both kids' rooms (which I did do last week, to be honest but as soon as I'm done, tornadoes whip through them in a matter of minutes!) and then I came into my room. I actually hadn't dusted in there in I don't know how long. Terry and I just shut our door when people come over....well NO MORE! I'm standing up for my Master Suite and keeping it clean, for me and Terry. We deserve a room where we don't step on legos getting out of bed to pee at night. We deserve a room where baby dolls don't cohabitate with the humans. We deserve a room where the TV isn't always set to Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network and the computer isn't hogged by people under 4 ft. Right! Who's with me?

Ahh, anyway, we also deserve a room where the bathroom floor is mopped every so often and the dust bunnies behind the toilet scamper off every now and then. I'm a work in progress though, so we'll see if it can last. At least all the beds are made, the upstairs bathrooms are clean and the closets are presentable. WHEW! Off to grab a snack and watch a soap! I deserve it! LOL!
