We're free!!!!!!

School is officially OUT! And as the busses were pulling away today from the schools with all those little hooligans, every driver honked continually to all the teachers who were out waving, smiling and thanking GOD that this year is finally over! LOL! It was loud, but so fun to end the year with a bunch of nonsense!

That being said, we started having fun last weekend...we went to the Beach waterpark on Saturday, went to a friend's (Pete) cabin in Adams County on Sunday where the kids went four wheeling for the first time and then Monday we were at a kids fishing tourney at Lake Isabella! Both kids won a trophy for catching a fish and had a great time roasting marshmellows and making smores over the campfire at 1pm in the afternoon on an 85 degree day. Seriously though, it was fun! Here's Lillie with Pete and Zac with Terry. We went hiking, grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful view that he has from his 45 acres on the top of a HUGE hill! Can't wait to go back!
And now that we're home, the kids are already fighting like cats and dogs. It's gonna take a lot of beer, wine and chocolate to get me through the summer....I can sense it.

A little humor....

Mothers' Day weekend was fun! We went to my parents' house of a bbq on Sunday afternoon and here's a few highlights:

--- I'm picking which meat I want off the plate and after accidentally taking a hotdog I put it back, then touched a really burnt brat and decided against it and ultimately found what I was looking for when Terry comes up behind me and says (with my Grandma, Mom, sister and EVERYONE standing there) "This is like a marriage, Julie. You gotta pick one weiner and stick with it!" I thought my grandma would need oxygen she was laughing so hard....an almost 80 year old woman mind you!

---In talking about an upcoming wedding our family has been invited to we got to talking about directions to get there. Seriously, I thought the Michael A Fox highway going to Hamilton was called the "Michael J Fox" highway, after the actor, ya know? I thought everyone was pulling my chain about the A, and then I realized they were right. All this time...that highway is NOT named after the cute Family Ties actor of long ago....which brings me to this...who the hell is Michael A Fox?

---Terry did yard work! Now that's funny!

Best Day Ever!

Today was pretty damn good, and I think it's going to be considered my Mothers' Day gift from Terry and the kids. I woke up, got myself ready, didn't have to make anyone's breakfast, met a friend from church at Panera for breakfast and a 2 hour conversation about ourselves, then went to Bobbie's (HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOBBIE!) and we went to get pedicures (her treat to me!) and then to Olive Garden for lunch. Then we went to a movie with a co-worker of hers and then went to dinner at Fridays! I left my house at 930 this morning and didn't get home until 830 tonite. When I arrived home, no one was here but the cats! So I stood outside and talked with my neighbor until 9pm when Terry and the kids got home from a day at the park and a trip to McDonalds. If that isn't a good day, I don't know what is! LOL!

What are you doing for Moms Day?

I'm HOME ALONE! And other news.....

Terry took a fishing trip this weekend, and god bless him, had 4 guys going and it's now him and another guy he works with and that's it. I'm mad that everyone backed out and even more mad that we fronted the money and won't get reimbursed, but really sad for Terry. He loves this hobby more than life itself and his friends don't always share that same view, so he gets all excited in the planning of trips only to be disappointed in the end when no one shows. He's real happy with the cabin they have, which has a porch he can fish off of and he needs this relaxing weekend, so I hope he can let it go.

The kids are at my parents' house overnight! YEEHAW! I'm walking in the MS Walk tomorrow (and would love sponsorships---you have until the end of May to pay up!) so I'm here watching TV, surfing the net and getting ready to crawl into bed with a book and a few cats. I went shopping earlier at Walgreens...my home away from home, and then got a Fuji Apple Salad from Panera. If you've never had it, seriously, go NOW and get one....they're FABULOUS!

Um, we have another loose tooth in Zac's mouth and 18 days of school left until SUMMER! Lillie is growing like the weeds in our yard...faster than I can keep up with! And me, well, did I mention I'm home alone? With no one to help bathe, brush teeth, snuggle in bed or yell at to get to sleep? How ever will I manage?
